The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop Hole in hinge pillar reinforcement

I've always thought that the hole in the back of the hinge
pocket was for assembly purposes. Probably used to locate
the pocket in the welding jig. I see no other need for it
in the "Advance Design" of things.
That's typically what unexplained or otherwise useless
holes or notches were used for.
