I was able to go out and do some detective work today, those pieces were indeed repaints, I found the original color underneath the silver. The ash tray had been repainted too. Looks like the glove box panel was stripped clean of paint and polished.
Does anyone know if under the original painted glove box door if it was indeed stainless??
