I don't know what the radios looked like for the 53, but it looks to me that his radio is what they put in earlier ADs, except that the knobs are wrong and the maroon bezels are missing. The dial housing is sun-baked so that it isn't maroon anymore. I agree with the other statements about unmolested. I will bet everyone who has ever bought one of these old trucks is guilty of wanting their trucks to be original in some way or another.
