don't remember EVER saying that. They are two year batteries so it sucks that they don't have longer life batteries at Tractor Supply, but I cant even imagine the cost of going thru 6 volters. No, longevity has nothing to do with it for sure. I have 3 years and counting on my current 8 volter.
