I was searching for some input on your question...guess what I found. You posted a similar question back in Feb of '05...as they say in Texas, do sumpin, even if it's wrong!
I am not sure on this, but the only wire you need is the red 10 gauge wire on the B post of the regulator. This should go to the + side of the ammeter.
Which red wire...I don't know. The power side of the ammeter handles the entire load so it is at least a #10 wire..is the other wire a smaller gauge! I think the blue wire went to the field on the generator..it isn't used so tape it up.
If you can't decipher the two reds, connect them both, but make a good tight connection. This is the main artery for the trucks blood supply.
Do all this and see how the systems works. If it starts smoking, I plead ignorance.
