atomarc - you are correct - i did do a post and actually printed off the replys - of course i can't find them now. i believe i was told to run the red wire from the alternator to the positive side of the amp gauge at that time. my concern was with the other three wires. (two reds and a blue) apparently i can ditch the little blue wire and connect all the three red ones together. the terminal block is a good idea cletis - thanks. this being 175 miles from my truck and only getting to work on it every so often is the poops!!!!! i need to use the search button first in the future.
