I've never tried thinning it with acetone before. I always use their thinner or most of the time mineral spirits for thinning.....
Seems like anytime you get a paint gun out there can be trials.....I was spraying Rustoleum Sunrise Red on a project one time, that color must attract knats, I must have had hundreds stuck in the first coat. Was no use trying to go on, I wiped it down and waited till another day. Usually I carry a roll of masking tape in my pocket, if I get a knat or bug, I make a tape ball and gently lift out the offender..... John
