I was thinking a plate you can bolt to the hinge bolt holes with a 1 - 2' piece of tubing welded to that. Kind of a -----------] tool handle thing. That would keep your hinge surface flat.
Mark... I like that idea as well. My only problem is currently my hinge surface isn't flat. It's starts a bend right before the inside bolt hole - hard to tell in that photo.
