Yesterday, the Powerglide transmission in my 1966 C-10 did not engage in the PARK position, and rolled into a ditch. Fortunately, the truck sustained no damage, but it nearly hit a utility pole.
It has not engaged in PARK a few times before, but it has happened infrequently.
Is this likely to be a linkage problem, or is it the parking pawl assembly?
