Jerry - there's no exploded parts pics I know of, just the install instructions in
the accessory manual - I recall that thin metal plate as providing a spring effect somewhere, maybe to hold something in place, but I'd need to look at an assembly again to refresh .... I'll see if I have one in the parts box,
