You will have to get a new gauge with the line on it. There is some sort of gas in the tube and sender. I just got my new gauge from Bow Tie Bits. I had to have a longer tube to reach the sending unit hole in the head. Check around on prices and how long it will take to get it repaired or exchanged. Don't through you old one out, you will need it for a core. I found them from $75 to over $200. Joe
