After running a program called traceroute and performing other diagnoses on computers having problems getting to my website, I have found two solutions:
Clear web browser cache and history - this is the less likely of the two solutions.
If you know how to change your network settings,
changing the DNS server address settings in the Network Settings or Network Control Panel almost always solves the problem.
The most probable reason why people have problems accessing my website is because I have had the 1954advance-design.com domain name for over 15 years. During that time, I have had to change hosting companies about five times for a variety of reasons (they have gone out of business or merged). When that happens, the IP address associated with my domain name changes.
The problem is that whenever someone types my domain name, it gets translated into an IP address, and there is the possibility that an old/incorrect IP address is being provided/used somewhere between your PC and my website. If Internet Service Providers purged or updated old/incorrect/dead addresses, the problem is almost always eliminated. The two free DNS servers that I give the addresses for at the link above are properly maintained by Google - addresses are regularly checked, purged, and updated. Those Google DNS servers are free for anyone to use (in place of the DNS server addresses provided by local ISPs).
The only other solution is for me to get a different/new domain name. That would cause more problems, because I have posted my domain name in a lot of places/posts - this would always result in an error message every time my old name is clicked-on.
Sorry. The Internet was brilliantly designed to be efficient and reliable. However, parts of the Internet have to be maintained; but, many ISP's do not know how to maintain their DNS Servers (or, they simply do not care).
