Sorry, I'm new at this. "Point type ignition"? I am keeping everything original if possible. Are you refering to the standard mechanical points? That's what I have. I will be installing a new wiring harness. I see that shows using the side terminal if its a 12v with foot starter. Do I need to check the starter to see if its 6 or 12v?
