All is correct information. Stay away from the real late model heads with the intake cast into the head. Performance wise, they all will be the same, the late model with the intake cast has a two barrel carb, which might run better, but the heads are prone to heat cracks.
Your best bet is to grab the first good head you find.
For a 250, add 307 Chevrolet V8 pistons for slightly over 1 point compression increase. Its a drop in piston, just be sure its a true flat top, not the universal replacement.
