If this is correct, what is happening is the lead that used to go from starter solenoid to the coil to bypass the resister is actually supplying constant DC to your coil when the starter is turning. The coil will not produce a spark under these conditions. You can test this theory by removing the wire from the solenoid and trying it out. If I am right, this is not a good situation for your electronic ignition and it should be corrected. | | |
