I rebuilt my junkyard '58 1/2 ton with a new wiring harness, alternator and electronic distributor. It runs great but will not fire up while I'm turning the starter, only when I let go of the key to the on position. Not a huge problem but sometimes I,m cranking the starter longer than necessary or not long enough if I've flooded it or something. unusual? a short?
