Hey Joe,
When I bought my '56, my first trip was from Raleigh NC to Carolina Beach about 120 miles one way. A month later I took off for San Diego. Zero problems! On the way back, I had to replace the vacuum advance in Amarillo and added a new radiator cap at the same time. I got stopped for a blown headlight in Tennessee. I put in a new pair at the first gas station I came to. You know your truck. Check what you need to and "drive it like you stole it!"
