What size tires? I run 6.50-16 tires. 45 mph is sort of a sweet spot, where the engine seems like it is just idling along, but you sure can run 55 all day long without problems. I get about 18 mpg at 55 by the way.

P.S I usually shift into 3rd between 25 and 30.
