| | | | Joined: May 2009 Posts: 135 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2009 Posts: 135 | By Date Code, do you mean the casting date on your block or head? If so, they could be replacements sold by Chevy and cast after the production run of the truck. My '36 Low Roof has a cylinder head cast in 1939.
I have never read anything on the change-over date from High Roof to Low Roof in 1936.
It is a VERY odd situation with the High Roof not being like the '34-'35 and the Low Roof not being like the '37-'38. Two unique partial year cabs.
