mike,yes the casting dates,the block has 5/17/7 on the side of the block and the trans has a date of 2/22/7,its a 1.5ton truck low cab and i was wondering if they sold these trucks in 1937 as new 1936's i was thinking maybe they were a long production run on them until the 37 came out,the 216 came out in 37 and thats what got me thinking.my blocks a 207 , it has no numbers stamped on the side next to the fuel pump, maybe its a chevy replacement? but the trans is in 37,if you or anybody knows anything would be a great help to understand these old trucks, thank you, dan baldybenny's Library
