Thank you all for the insight. Since this old girl has beenrunning fine for 75 years, and will now only be used for weekend runs, I think I'll try to keep the old generator/charging system. When I get up and running, what will gauge if the generator is getting too hot? I am sure it gets warm from the engine so is "hot to the touch" a gauge?
