Status report:
1. As reported above, jackets arrived yesterday and all look great. I am conducting a shrink test on mine (consisting of washing it per the label instructions) to see if they will shrink at all. Will publish test report this evening upon test conclusion.
2. Next step is to finish logo update. I am currently refining the logo to prep it for embroidery. I'm assuming everyone understands that to keep cost manageable, we have to keep the thread count down. Thus, the logo will be a line-art, simplified version of what we have on the t-shirts. Same logo, just without the color and finer detail. Also, I am switching out the '54 truck for a nice one I'm working on of a '47-'53 truck (Phil's GMC, to be exact). No emu or F-350 (That was just a joke on you, Tim).
3. Costs. In addition to the cost of the jacket itself, there will be costs for the following:
a. Embroidery set-up fee. This is the charge to set up the logo in their embroidery machine. This will be in the $75 to $80 range and will be spread among all of us.
b. Per jacket embroidery costs. For each jacket, there will be a charge to embroider the large logo on the back, another charge to do the small one on the left front and a third charge to put the name on the right front. I will have exact figures for those after I take the logo to the embroidery shop for the estimate.
c. What you will pay. To figure out the cost per each jacket, I will add up the total cost for all the jackets, the embroidery set up fee and the fee for each jacket's embroidery (will all be the same, anyway) -- in short, I will add up the total cost of buying the jackets and getting them enbroidered. I will then divide by the number of jackets. That will be your cost.
4. Delivery. I am planning on having all of this done so I can deliver the jackets at Winchester. Prior to that, if you want to swing by HQ once they're done, that's always fine, too. For those of you not coming to Winchester and not in the area, I will mail them to you but there will be an additional shipping charge (actual shipping cost).
Alrighty then. I know you're all disappointed at losing the emu out of the logo redesign but ...
