Hi gang,

I have a small block V-8 from my parts truck. The casting number near the bell housing is 3970010 . My books, and MorTec, tell me this is either a 302, 327 or 350. However, on the front there is a code stamped in the ledge in front of the head. These are as follows:

C5J151717 VO716TXD

So what does this mean?

Any help would be appreciated!!!
