Thanks for the info, I'll share this with my mechanic. Sounds very logical.
I used to pull my trailer by the way with a 2002 chevy S-10 (6 cylinder) pulled it across route 80 the whole way from Pa to San Francisco and twice into that big event in the desert. With rear stabilizing/load distribution package, an extra trans cooler, I was good to go. The trailer only weighs about 3,000 lbs.
