As I understand it, Eaton 052s and 072s are alike as far as the innards are concerned. Is this the case? Also that the H052 is capable of carrying 5200 lbs and is found on 3/4Ton trucks while the H072 is capable of carrying 7200 lbs and is found on 1Ton and larger trucks. Is this correct? The third member of both is interchangeable? I have What I believe to be an H052 that has a whine when not under load. I believe I'll be looking for a replacement soon. Should I be looking for a 3.90 or 3.73 DANA 60 instead?
