I put a Dana 60 from a mid-70's 3/4 ton in a 59 Burb, and had major tire/fender clearance problems. It's a great rear axle, with limited slip center section and all, but I had to do some pretty severe hammering on the inner fenders to get some tire clearance! When the Burb goes back on the road with a Cadillac 500 and a Turbo 400, I'm going to custom-order some special offset wheels to allow me to rebuild the wheel openings to normal appearance. When that happens, I'm also planning to go with a narrowed front crossmember from an IFS 3/4 ton to have 8-lug wheels all the way around.
