this may sound kinda silly coming from an electrician of 22 years but...I've been told that in order to install nice stereo system in my 52 I need to install an alternator. now if this is true can anyone tell me why and what I need to do the people on this site have helped me considerably and I hate to ask so many questions but as my dearly departed dad would say "how are you going to learn w/out asking"hopefully I can contribute SOME type of usefull info thanks
