A Gallon?? A quart will do two coats on a frame and maybe some left over for some touch ups.
Unless you get a super price for a gallon I agree with Ed. Buy it in Quart cans. Note: I do know that the pint size cans vs the quart size is real expensive.
If you must guy a gallon go to the local paint story and get you a couple empty NEW cans from them and divide it up. This stuff will harden if not careful.
(I drill a hole in the middle of the lid and keep it covered with a piece of duct tape. Have a can I've used out of for over a year and its still good. Pour out small amounts at a time or it'll skim and get thick on you before you know it)...but I still like it!
