POR15 is great stuff. It's tuff and adheres best to textured surfaces such as rusty metal that has had the scale rust removed. Grease and oil need to be removed first. The surface MUST be dry and clean, (but not spotless). If you paint it over a bolt and nut, I doubt you will ever get be able to get it apart again. It is sensitive to sunlight (UV rays) and will discolor and fade, so keep that in mind.
Having said all that, I am just about ready to paint my truck's frame with the stuff. A quart goes a long way.
