I just installed an fm/am cd stereo in my '56 Nomad. Black wire is ground. Red is hot to the ignition. This will cut it off when you turn your key off. Yellow is to the battery with an inline fuse. This is for your pre-set stations and clock so you don't lose it. Speaker wires: white solid and white/black stripe is left front speaker. Grey and Grey/black stripe is right front speaker. The other two I didn't connect. Hope this helps. BTW I installed the radio in the glove box. Had to cut an opening in the rear of the box, slipped the radio thru it, just enough to close the box cover. Looks real good cuz I didn't lose the stock appearance of the dash and I can have the fm & cd music to cruise with.
