the 350 is a boat anchor at best the 305 is a gutless wonder. . .
so your choices are really :
1. no power (305).
2.spun rod bearing's (350).
I have had 4 350's 3 of them spun bearing's 4th one i gave away fast as i didn't trust it after the first 3 I may have gotten the only bad one's GM ever produced but it was enough for me to never ever run one again. . .
I've only had one true 305 and it was the
big V-6. . .
I did have 335 stroker witch was a 305-V8 with a 400 crank. . . ran decent had some power. . .
