My stepfather talks about drag racing at an old army air base in my town. He said a good 292 could run with any 283 or 327 out there. We were at an old mans junk yard a couple years ago. There was a retired stock car in the field with a 292 in it. Man did my step father drool over that. Him and the guy sat there talkin about how those six's were great and need more respect and . . . Needless to say I had to drag him away. He is a die hard "old school" racer.
He gave me my 63 and I thought he was going to shoot me when I told him the 250 had to go. :rolleyes:
