Check the distributor cap for cracks or carbon tracks. A carbon track will look like a barely-visible line similar to a pencil line between wire terminals inside the cap. A little moisture condensation starts the problem, and once a circuit is established, a permanent line is etched into the cap.
If you've replaced the cap and rotor already, ignore all the above.
