hey guys...thanks for all the input. as stated, my plugs were fouled, but i' also am going to replace gaskets for the intake/exhaust manifold. of course, there was the timing issue as well. AS for the knock, many of you have asked, the verdict is the wrist pin at no. 1 piston. The news could be worse. mains and rods are good. I"ll probably drive her for a while.
