This old engines never did have an abundance of oil. If you'd like to crimp it a little I think you'd be ok as long as "sufficent" oil available.
Not sure about your 248 but I have seen the tube your speaking of in a vendors catalog... but don't remember which one. Take the to check out several of the vendors...or call them. | | |
