Hey Saint, Just wanted to let you know that you are not the only confused one at this forum. I have a 49 1/2 ton and find everytime I work on it I discover more I do not know, but have always got great help from the guys at this forum. One of the best tips I have received was the purchase of my shop manuel. Get one and jump right in there, then ask the experts if you still have problems. The satisfaction you are going to get will be well worth the time soent, not to mention the friends you will meet on stovebolt. Good Luck.
