You may just need to learn the quirks of the truck. Cold starting procedures sometimes don't work on hot engines and you have to wait til it cools enough to start the way you have conditioned yourself to start it. With my last GMC, if I touched the gas when it was hot it would be flooded and I could plan my day 1/2 hour shorter. Practice by driving around the block or two and pulling back into the driveway at home. You will learn pretty quick how to start it under different conditions.

Good advice. How should I start it when already warm?
