Never had any problems with I-R compressors at all but then I never owned one of the consumer brand big box store models either. But someone said your problem is with TSC or whomever you bought from and not I-R. I totally agree. You bought on brand reputation without doing your homework first. And $800 bucks for a 5 HP compressor, well you can't expect to be much to begin with. An 80 gallon tank unit should have at least 20 CFM and would if you'd bought a commercial I-R compressor and yours is probably more like 11-12 CFM at pressure. I'd suggest you settle down and look at this a little more objectively.
