Seems like every time we get into the discussion of a 3/4 ton pumpkin swap there are always a few guys that don’t seem to realize that they are very different from the 1/2 ton. So I just thought I might post a couple of pics of a 1950, 3604.

I was looking at a 1969 C20, V8 3speed the other day and they sure do look the same. My housing of course uses leaf springs and the ’69 has coils but the center section looks just like mine. Did I read somewhere that the later, that is, post ’72 carriers had spiders with a fine spline and the earlier ones had a course spline? Is that the only difference and does anyone know if the spiders would interchange?
