I have quite a few bench top tools. One of the problems I find is cutting long stock on the ends and holding it down to get a square cut.

I have seen benches dedicated with insets for these type of tools. But do not want to dedicate a bench for each one.

So I put some thought into building a 30"x60" rolling bench, with an inset on the long side. Each benchtop tool would be mounted to a 3/4" piece of plywood. All the tools would use the same size of base.
The inset on the bench would have brackets on each side at different levels to accomodate the working/stock surface of each benchtop tool. Would have to have a mounting nut to hold the tool in place. This allows a 60" level surface for each tool. The benchtop tools would be stored under the bench for easy access.

The bench would be at my tablesaw height so it could be used as an outfeed table. A insert would be made so the top then becomes a full 30"x60" bench to be used as an assembly/ffabrication table.

Any thoughts guys?
