Joe H, looking through your pics it doesn't appear that the intake and exhaust manifold are bolted together. Are they?
If the intake is bolted to the exhaust than heat will transfer from one to the other. If the exhaust reaches 600 F degrees than the intake will also reach a very hot temp espescially where they bolt together.
This is the question I'm trying to bring up. Will the heat transference from a hot exhaust manifold affect the intake it is bolted to if powder coated. Where the manifold are not bolted together there would only be reflected heat absorption which is much less than heat transference through solid metal to metal contact.
