The triangle is top dead centre, referred to in the manual as upper dead centre and labeled on the flywheel as UDC. The bb is at 5 deg advance. If you rotate the flywheel past the bb, five deg. which is a little over an inch, you will see the triangle. For best results I would advise you to static time it to the triangle.
