You are worrying too much about timming. If its anywhere close it will run. Even if its off a bunch it ought to backfire. Dont count the plugs out they may be drowned with oil or fuel. If you have a good blue spark at the plugs I would try another set. Then hook a chain on her and teach it to lead.
