Yes, I used it over 10 years ago in my 37 pickup. Since I can look straight down into it I check it out when I put gas in it. It still looks as good as the day I put it in.

I also had the tank problem with my panel. My old tank was simply GONE. I bought a used tank and lightly blasted the outside and found several bad places. This tank is not an easy one to put in and take out so I waited a while until JimCarter got the repops produced. I bought one from him and it is a dead match.

I had checked intto fixing the old one. The radiator shops in my area that still has a bath to clean stuff wanted $40 to clean it and some wanted $50 to do an overnight cleaning. Then you can add about $75 for the kit. (not sure about that price today.) And even with the kit I had back then I still had to buy something. I think it was acetone or maybe I had to buy the muriatic acid. Bottom line was I'd have over a hundred bucks in a somewhat good tank. I bit the bullet and got a new one.
You look at your tank and be the judge. If its in decent shape with no holes, dents thats been patched or filled then a kit may be your best route.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
