The grille I got from a bolter had two bars the same length....but he did not know it either. After all my work and then starting to put it back together something just would not fit up correctly. Turns out it had two #4 bars. I do not know the exact measurements but its seems that they were each about 3/8" difference from one to the other. That is what gives it the "slant" look!!
Lesson learned!
EDIT: this was on my 1/2 ton panel.
