I had to replace the 3spd transmission in the 1940 Chevy Super Deluxe Conv... I always have a few used ones around(along with everything else...) and I installed a 3 spd with the words, "Rockford McGurk 009 Special" painted on the bottom. The result was unbelievable. 1st seemed higher, second pulled like a team of clydesdales and 3rd "feels" slightly overdrive...
What the hell is this? Possibly a Frank McGurk modified? Any one ever hear of this?
