Denny,I walked in the store with it in my hand years ago.The counter guy said that is"such and such part,let me go get you one".I kept the part number off of the little bag they come in,use to be sold in pairs.

Tim,The compression nut is used to screw into the oil pressure gauge.I'm not sure about the engine block side,I'll have to go look.
