Hooka, As I recall,I took off the fitting on the back of the new gauge and the oil line fit right on...NOW....PLEASE use CARE when tightening the brass line onto the gauge...they are cheaply made and I snapped 2...I was so fed up I took the old gauge swapped the face plate and put on the new line...Worked perfect,and if you put the gauges side by side you can see the difference in quality.
