Could it be that even in 1950 that California would require the mirror by law?

As far I can decipher,my truck was built in Georgia.
Whether it was specifically built for the Ca. market,I guess I'll never know,
AFAIK it did however spend most of it's working life in Hesperia Ca.
I agree,ultimately it's not a huge issue for me either,but I
have enjoyed bouncing ideas and theories about.
