I'd suspect that an inside mirror would have been a seldom ordered option on a truck, being they were used for hauling that frequently would obstruct any rear view via the back window .... the 51 accessory manual indicates for the car that the interior mirror screws into the center divider and is held by a jam nut .... for a car, but one would assume the trucks were the same and that susequent years used the same design, GM had that habit
